Bikroy.com<\/span><\/a>, the Largest Marketplace in Bangladesh has created a forum named \u2018Moner Janala\u2019 in association with the \u2018HeForShe\u2019 campaign of UN Women to increase the number of female employees and to ensure women empowerment.<\/span> They have been arranging it every three months for the last four years, in order to excel in leadership qualities among the young female executives.<\/span> As part of this forum\u2019s regular activity, Bikroy recently organized a special event on 19th December 2019, Thursday <\/span>at The Platinum Grand Hotel located in Dhaka.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sanjana Farid, <\/span>Country Head of BRAC Saajan Exchange Limited<\/span> was present as the chief guest at the event. <\/span>Her career is a shining example in the money transfer and money exchange industry of Bangladesh. <\/span>Rehenuma Islam, Head of HR & Culture of Bikroy along with high officials of Bikroy were also present among others.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Moner Janala\u2019 forum aims to remove gender discrimination and increase the participation of female employees in the workplace. Naz Hussain, Rehenuma Islam, and Eshita Sharmin, the three advisors of the forum are continuously working to realize this objective. Though the forum came into being keeping female employees in mind, male employees can also share their opinions here.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sanjana Farid <\/b>speaking about <\/span>\u2018Moner Janala\u2019<\/b> said, \u201c<\/span>With the passing time, women of the present day are working in different kinds of challenging occupations besides managing the household. Women have proved themselves worthy and are moving forward at an increasing rate. Now they are not dependent on anyone. But unfortunately, even now, in many cases, they have to work harder than their male counterparts to prove their worth. <\/span>I want to thank Bikroy.com for inviting me to such a wonderful platform where everyone can share their issues and learn from each other.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Rehenuma Islam, Head of HR & Culture of Bikroy <\/b>said, \u201cAt Bikroy, we aspire to grow as a company along with our talent. \u2018Moner Janala\u2019 is a platform where our female employees can share their feelings related to the work environment and talk about any challenges they face at the workplace. We invite established female guest speakers to our events who inspire our female employees by sharing their stories. I believe these stories will encourage our female employees to excel at work.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Eshita Sharmin, Co-Managing Director of Bikroy<\/b> said, \u201c\u2018Moner Janala\u2019 is a tradition of Bikroy, one of our regular initiatives. I think our young female employees can learn a lot from the experience of Sanjana Farid, a truly inspirational person who has been playing different important roles in her career. Despite compelling evidence that more diversity in management level increases efficiency, women in leadership roles are still low in most organizations.
