Samsung launched the predecessor to the Gear Fit 2 <\/a>way back in 2014 so it was due for a refresh. The new Gear Fit 2 is a significant improvement over the original and brings to the table the same recipe that made the Gear Fit popular with some bonuses.<\/p>\n

Powering the Gear Fit 2<\/a> is a 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM. The battery is 200mAh and is expected to last between three to four days on regular usage and up to five days on standby. There\u2019s also 4GB built in storage which you can use to store music and use without a smartphone.<\/p>\n

The Samsung Gear Fit 2 comes in two sizes (small for wrists sized 125-170mm and large for 155-210mm) and three colours (pink, blue and black). The Gear Fit 2 is only compatible with Android devices running 4.4 KitKat or higher (Samsung smartphones running Android 4.3 JellyBean with at least 1.5GB RAM). The wearable will retail for $179 although we are not sure about release and pricing in Bangladesh.<\/span><\/p>\n

Moving on to the fitness side of things, the Gear Fit 2 has a heart rate sensor, GPS, gyro sensor, accelerometer and barometer. The sensors allow for automatic tracking of various activities which can be viewed in the S Health application. The GPS also enables mapping of routes taken while running or cycling. The wearable is rated IP68 dust and water resistant which is an improvement from the previous model.<\/p>\n
