‘Moner Janala’- A special initiative for the female employees by Bikroy on International Women’s Day

Bikroy.com, the Largest Marketplace in Bangladesh has celebrated International Women’s Day 2021. Based on the theme of this year’s Women’s Day- #ChooseToChallenge, a discussion meeting named ‘Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in a COVID-19 World’ was held at the head office of Bikroy. Bikroy.com has created a forum named ‘Moner Janala’ in association with the ‘HeForShe’ campaign of UN Women to increase the number of female employees and to ensure women empowerment. They have been arranging it every three months for the last five years, in order to excel in leadership qualities among the young female executives. 

Mahzabin Ferdous, Executive Director of Concito PR was present as the chief guest at the event. Eshita Sharmin, Co-Managing Director of Bikroy, and Naz Hussain, Co-Managing Director of Bikroy were also present among others.

‘Moner Janala’ forum aims to remove gender discrimination and increase the participation of female employees in the workplace. Naz Hussain, Rehenuma Islam, and Eshita Sharmin, the three advisors of the forum are continuously working to realize this objective. Though the forum came into being keeping female employees in mind, male employees can also share their opinions here.

Regarding ‘Moner Janala’, Mahzabin Ferdous, a guest at the event and Executive Director of Concito PR, said, “This year’s International Women’s Day was celebrated with the slogan of #ChooseToChallenge. Over the years, women have established a strong position in various challenging professions, besides handling their household life and this number is expected to keep growing.
